The
Auto A/C Service Question was... The
complaint on the A/C system is that it isn't blowing cold enough.
You've been told the duct outlet temperature is 55°F
(or about 13°C). You should just recharge the system
because it's probably just low on refrigerant.
The
fact of the matter is that 55 degree duct outlet temperature could actually
be normal, of course depending on the temperature of the day and the relative
humidity. So just adding refrigerant is certainly not a solution.
Also
understand that there could be countless other reasons why the A/C system
isnt blowing cold or cold enough. Refrigerant is just a coolant that
transfers heat. The A/C system is made up of several different components,
but the most important issue to remember is that it is a system.
That really means all of the components must work together. For complete
details, proceed to the correct answer for this question.
