one rule that has never, ever held up in automotive air conditioning repair

When it comes to adding refrigerant, the same holds true. Adding refrigerant
can cause the A/C system to start to perform, but if adding refrigerant does
not solve the problem, adding more refrigerant more will not solve it either!
